Hornsey Historical Society is very proud of the number and high quality of the books it has published, many written by our members. We sell a wide range of titles related to the history of our area. They are mostly HHS publications, but also include titles from other publishers. Books include a very popular series of local walks, along with books about different areas, buildings and people.

Clementina (Clemmie) May, the youngest child of Henry and Sarah Elder of Topsfield Hall, Crouch End, who married Frank May, Chief Cashier of the Bank of England in 1879, recalled her memories a few months before her death in 1942, aged 92.
This book traces the early history of the Rookfield Estate from when the site was first enclosed from Muswell Hill Common to its acquisition by W. J. Collins in 1899. It includes a history of the Collins family who were responsible for the development of the Estate.

Tottenham and Wood Green – Then & Now in Colour is a 96-page hardback in a new format from The History Press. It presents an old view from the Bruce Castle Museum archive in sepia and a modern full colour view, by local photographer Henry Jacobs. The book includes forty-two locations in Tottenham and Wood Green accompanied by informative text.
