About the author

Albert Pinching was a Wood Green resident for forty years before moving to Hornsey. By profession a polymer technologist and technical manager in the cable-making and telecomms industries, he made a major contribution to the life of HHS from the late 1980s until his death in 2021. Albert was HHS Bulletin editor for 14 years. He contributed articles to a range of publications and specialised in the history of Wood Green. There was a tribute to Albert in the Islington Tribune which gave a short overview of his life.
