This month’s HHS lecture was a bit of a hybrid. Delivered by author Andrew Whitehead, it was a joint event with The Muswell Hill and Fortis Green Association and chaired by our Secretary Vicky Peters.

As many will be aware, Andrew’s fifth volume in the “Curious” series is all about Muswell Hill. He recalled how, when he first came to London, he lived in a bedsit in Woodland Gardens and simply fell in love with the area: its style, the regal avenues, Martyn’s, its lively politics and pop music.
It’s clear that Andrew’s enthusiasm lives on: it was reflected in the audience’s lively response and many questions at the end of the lecture.
