It is with great sadness that I have to report the passing of Peter Garland, aged 82.
Peter was a long-standing member of the society and a wonderful artist who exhibited in many places including the Royal Free Hospital, Hampstead. The society was very fortunate that his last work was the cover of our latest book ‘A 100 Stories From The Archive’, a masterly piece of drawing.
He also illustrated other books including ‘The History Of The Old School House’.
He ran a monthly art class at the Old School House and over the years had many devoted followers. A very gentle man in every sense and will be sadly missed by the society.
