The award of a certificate and £100 was presented to our Publications Officer, Janet Owen, at the LAMAS annual conference held at the Museum of London on Saturday 16th November. Bulletin 58 had won the same prestigious award the previous year!

Warm congratulations go to Sandra Clark, Bulletin Editor for this second achievement, to those who contributed articles and reviews to this Bulletin edition and to Keith Phillips who undertakes the design work and arranges the printing. Bulletin 55 (2014), edited by Albert Pinching also won the LAMAS Journal Prize. The success of HHS’s annual Bulletin reflects the consistently high standard maintained over the years across a wide variety of articles and reviews by a large number of different authors.

As a reminder…. Bulletin 59 featured an important article about the early maps of Highgate by our President, Peter Barber, one on medieval pilgrims, badges and holy well by our Chair, Keith Fawkes, as well as articles on the historic finds at Alexandra Palace, the Crouch End Festival Choir, lost shops in Harringay, the concluding article of a series on Hornsey and the First World War…and more.

You can still see the contents of previous Bulletins and the numbers of those which you can still purchase.
