Visit to the British Vintage Wireless and Television Museum
17th April 2019 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm
The HHS April visit is to the British Vintage Wireless and Television Museum in West Dulwich, which houses a collection of early radios, televisions, loudspeakers and radiograms.
This began as the personal collection of Gerald (Gerry) Wells from which he created a private museum at his house in 1974.
The wide range of exhibits, from the dawn of wireless up to the last valve models ever made and early transistor models, is of interest to academics, historians, manufacturers and collectors around the world.
Our tour will be in small groups, lead by experts ready to answer questions.
Refreshments are provided on arrival and are included in the cost, payable on the day, of £10.00. There is a nearby pub for lunch or the cafe at Dulwich Picture Gallery in the afternoon – a tour of the gallery will be organised if enough people request it.
Address, map and travel details will be sent on booking. Please get in touch to book at email@example.com or by phone text to 07757 414363.
