About the author

Albert Pinching lived in Wood Green for forty years. By profession a polymer technologist and technical manager in the cable-making and telecomms industries, he contributed to the life of HHS from the late 1980s until his death in 2021. Albert was HHS Bulletin editor for 14 years and contributed articles to a range of publications, specialising in the history of Wood Green.
