Alexandra Palace Theatre Reopens

On Saturday 1st December the Alexandra Palace Theatre officially reopens after over eighty years of closure.

The varied and interesting history of the theatre is well-documented from its beginnings as a venue for variety and music hall to its run as an early cinema, and its use as a storage space and workshop for the BBC. Now after a multi-million pound renovation, the unveiling promises to be a real treat for locals, historians and theatre lovers alike.

Something for everyone

The opening celebrations this weekend begin at 10am on Saturday with Santa’s Grotto, a Christmas market, funfair including a ferris wheel overlooking all of London, ice skating, live music and free workshops and performances from the BBC Concert Orchestra and Haringey Music Service – there is something for everyone.
