Members receive the Society's acclaimed annual Bulletin, containing well-researched articles of local interest with many illustrations, and 4 quarterly Newsletters giving details of outings, walks, etc. Members also receive email updates (eg of events and walks), free entry to the Society's lectures and free help with queries from the Archives.

How to join HHS

There are several ways of joining:

  • by post - go to the simple form -  print, complete and send;
  • online (coming soon);
  • at one of our meetings (please arrive 10 minutes early).

    • or by standing order form (coming soon);
    • or set up a direct debit or standing order with your bank.

    • using your usual debit or credit card, or your Paypal account (coming soon);

Additional notes on joining by post

The PDF membership form produces a neater result when printed, but you need to have a PDF reader programme installed on your computer. The simple membership form has the same information, and although it's not as neat, it doesn't require a PDF reader.
